In Western countries, large-scale agricultural irrigation projects boast highly advanced expertise, which holds significant importance for establishing large-scale, intensive modern agriculture. In China's rural areas, fragmented farmland poses challenges to implementing intensive irrigation systems. The contradiction between scarce freshwater resources and their uneven distribution is increasingly evident. To address this issue, the Chinese government has proposed the " High-Standard Farmland Irrigation Project" initiative. This initiative involves consolidating rural land into contiguous plots, thereby imposing higher demands on large-scale centralised irrigation systems. It is against this backdrop that Zhonglan High-Standard Farmland Irrigation Dongfang came into being.
